Tide is built for people with ADHD. By using it you tell us something about your health, and what you write — goals, why they matter, what you got done — is personal. This page says plainly what we collect, where it goes, and how to take it back.
What we collect
- Account: your email, a display name if you give one, and your timezone.
- What you write: tasks, tiny steps, anchors and their “why”, identity statements, mantras, routines, wins, and focus sessions.
- WhatsApp (optional): your phone number, the messages we send you, and the replies you send back.
- Google Calendar (optional): a read-only token and, each morning, the titles and times of that day’s events. We never write to your calendar.
- Technical: ordinary server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept briefly for security and debugging. No advertising trackers, no analytics that follow you across sites.
Why we use it
Only to run Tide for you: showing your plan, sending the messages you asked for, drafting tiny steps when you tap “Break it down”. We don’t sell data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t use what you write to train AI models.
Because Tide is designed around ADHD, using it may reveal information about your health. We process that on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you create an account and can withdraw at any time by deleting it.
Who else sees it
These providers handle data on our behalf, only as needed:
- Supabase (database and sign-in) — stored in the EU (Ireland).
- Vercel (hosting) — servers may run outside the EU.
- Anthropic (AI features) — receives the task title or goal you ask it to work on, only when you use an AI feature. Anthropic does not train on this data.
- Twilio and Meta (WhatsApp) — your phone number and message contents, only if you connect WhatsApp.
- Google — only if you connect your calendar.
Where a provider is outside the EU, transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete your account and everything is removed at once — there is no archive. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Your rights
- Export: Settings → Your data → Download a copy. You get a JSON file of everything.
- Delete: Settings → Your data → Delete my account. Immediate and permanent.
- Stop messages: reply STOP to any WhatsApp message, or pause them in Settings.
- Correct or ask: email hello@gettide.dev. If you’re in the EU you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Not a medical service
Tide is a support tool, not a treatment or a crisis service. It works best alongside — not instead of — care from people who know you. If you’re in crisis, contact local emergency services.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
